Weather data does not appear on activity map

Since 13 October 2025, weather data (temperature, wind) does not appear on map activity in Garmin Connect. I have 2 devices (Forerunner 265, Edge 1040 Solar) and for both device's activities weather data is not shown anymore.

I've tried to talk with Garmin Product Support (for me it is german support department), but no luck. I've a feeling support cannot understand what I'm talking about (even if I've provided screenshots and activities links) and they mess up "weather data" on activity map with device temperature sensor or with weather forecast widget in a device...

Does anyone else experienced the same issue? Any ideas how to fix it?

I saw this 9 month old thread with the same issue  RE: Temperature stopped appearing on activity map which says issue was fixed somehow by support team.

  • Works for me:

    Screenshot from today workout.
    I'm using Descent MK3i.

  • Does anyone else experienced the same issue?

    Works fine for me too. Could you post a link to one of your activities demonstrating the problem? Did you try temporarily disabling browser extensions, antiviruses, firewalls, ...? Try also another browser, and an alternative Internet connection is worth of testing too.

  • I'm sure it is not a global issue, I see it works fine for my connections.

  • I forgot to mention that it is for both Gamin Connect: web and app (android).

    Here is activities example:
    with problem: https://connect.garmin.com/modern/activity/20858026070
    without problem: https://connect.garmin.com/modern/activity/20603258294

  • I created a virtual activity in TCX format with the starting latitude and longitude exactly on the same spot as yours, and there is indeed no weather data on that location. I then edited the starting point slightly to the north, to Alt Moabit, and the weather is missing there too, but when I went just a bit more to the south to Tempelhof (see the code example below), the weather is available there. So it is simply a problem with the local coverage of the weather API, nothing wrong with your device or Garmin Connect.

     <Track>
    <Trackpoint>
    <Time>2025-11-01T11:36:52.000Z</Time>
    <Position>
    <LatitudeDegrees>52.48098656347394</LatitudeDegrees>
    <LongitudeDegrees>13.377577881008387</LongitudeDegrees>
    </Position>
    ...

    It is easily reproducible and testable - simply export any of your activities in the TCX format (regardless where it was done), and then edit the very first longitude and latitude values (yes, only the first pair matters). You can then test which areas are covered, and which are not. You should report it to the Support again, sending them hard data showing it clearly, or pointing them to this thread.

  •  , thank you for the analysis.

    I've tried to do the same: created virtual activity using as an example one of my previous activity in Italy - and it shows weather data. I would I agree: something happened with weather API coverage in Berlin and around (because I was recording activities across Berlin in range 40-100 km, and there are no weather data too).

    Garmin Support already requested Connected app logs and "GARMIN" folder from the devices. So I hope they will find the same issue (if not then I will share current thread).

    thanks again!
