Step Streak Gone

My steps streak was reset two days ago, although I reached the goal that day, and the watch agrees! Slight smile

The steps widget on the watch (Fenix 8) shows a "2 day streak" but it clearly displays that the goal was reached for at least the last 7 days:

For what I can see, the watch registered the steps, but on Garmin Connect, the data was not properly synchronized for that day:

On that day, there is no data after 13.30h:

The watch shows more steps, though:

Since it would appear that the watch still has the data, I wonder if there is a way to force Garmin Connect to re-synchronize it...

This is probably the same issue as this other thread (with no answers):
https://forums.garmin.com/apps-software/mobile-apps-web/f/garmin-connect-web/375756/my-garmain-step-streak

There are other posts with similar problems, but no clear answers either (just search for "steps streak").

Help appreciated. Thanks.

  • I wonder if there is a way to force Garmin Connect to re-synchronize it...

Have a look at the folder //GARMIN/Monitor after a sync - if there is some file staying, it may be a corrupted file holding the data, and there is a chance it could be repaired. More likely, though, the folder will be empty. In such case I know only about three following ways to get the steps corrected:

    1. Hacking a FIT file with the wellness data of another day from the Monitoring folder (or a one exported from Garmin Connect web)
    2. Backdating the watch and the phone, and adding some more steps
    3. Asking the Support to add the steps
  • I look at that folder and there were three files (2 from today, 1 dated the day after the day data was missing). Then I realized that you said I should look after I had synchronized the watch, so I did that. After that there was only one file in that folder, dated from today, and smaller in size than the ones I saw previously.

But now the step streak is correct in Garmin Connect, and no data is missing! I don't know exactly what fixed it, though.
