Help fix corrupt fit file

I ran a 21k today. It was recorded in the garmin watch but did not sync in the app. I tried to manually upload the activity but indicated as "One of your file was not accepted by the system." Can someone help me how to fix this please

Try running it through FIT File Viewer—it works in the browser and can often fix corrupted files.

If you're still unable to import the activity into Garmin Connect, attach the file to this thread…

Hi,

I have a corrupted FIT file from my run today. I managed to run it through a repair tool and it allowed me to upload the file to Garmin Connect. However, only the summary and lap data are visible. The GPS track, heart rate, and other graphs are completely missing, even though the file size (32KB) suggests the data points should be there.

The online tools I tried seem to recover only the "header" or "summary" info but fail to reconstruct the actual track points. Could someone please take a professional look to see if the track data is recoverable?

Running it through FIT File Viewer will repair this file so that it is acceptable by Garmin. However, it will be missing much of the data, as described in this thread - New bug in FIT files: empty File ID and no Record messages

In Fit File Viewer, you’ll notice it’s missing a “Record” section, which would normally include timestamps with GPS latitude and longitude data, along with other important metrics. Instead, it only has a “Session” section that contains the start and stop GPS positions.

Suggest contacting Garmin Support directly to report the issue.

There are new betas out now. For example: Public Beta Version 28.03 - 100%

There's 1 line in the changelog that gives some hope:

Fix an issue that could cause some activities to fail upload to Garmin Connect.
