Can I still use co-ordinates when I don't have a map?

I have a Nuvi 205W with maps of the UK only.

I am going on holiday shortly to Fuerteventura (Canary Islands). Although I don't have maps for that island installed, if I enter co-ordinates (e.g. of a geo-cache) will the Nuvi still indicate which direction to go, and show my target on the screen? (I appreciate it that it won't show roads, I just want to be pointed in the right direction).

Yes. Put the cache point in and try it from where you are in the UK.
On my 705 Click > Find > My Favorites > Mode > You will get a complete list of all the waypoints in your unit > select the cache point and you should get a bearing and some huge number of kms.

I'm in the US and selected "Garmin Europe" and got NE 5463.9 miles. I'll be right over soon as I air up my water wings :D
