Oregon: Compass in Automotive profile

Former Member

I have an Oregon 300.
When geocaching, it is often useful to navigate to a geocache in automotive mode using turn-by-turn direction. But when in this mode, the compass needle always points straight ahead. Seems a bit useless.

But perhaps if when the destination is a geocache, the compass could behave as it does in geocache mode (even when you are in automotive mode). With that simple change, geocachers could avoid having to switch profiles between arriving near a geocache, and needing the compass view to actually locate the geocache.

Thanks!
