Are you getting an error message when trying to import the fit file? How did you check it?
If you're unable to import the activity into Garmin Connect, attach the file to this thread. We can take a look to see if it is repairable.
Same problem here, I get the grey progress bar but then nothing happens.
I'm not seeing a lot of forum members currently with this issue. If there were, we'd see many similar posts and likely some indication of an issue on the Garmin Status Page.
I tried one activity. It was slow to import, showing the grey progress bar for several seconds, but it did eventually work.
Rather than multiple fit files, try one small activity to test. If that works, then try the others one at a time. Give each upload some time.
This could be a typical Monday morning server load issue. If the server is handling many requests, it may queue or throttle uploads.
I ended up emailing it to myself, downloading it to my iphone and then uploading it that way via Edge and it worked. But tried to different laptops and all the browsers and could not get it to work. Sounds like a Garmin issue tbh
I am having the same issue. I’m super frustrated. It won’t even let me upload the fit file I exported from the original Garmin-recorded activity. Did indoor trainer today and used GOTOES to merge data from my Stages power meter and my Vivoactive 5, since Vivo doesn’t have power meter compatibility. On my phone it won’t even let me select the file, and on my computer after selecting “import” it just shows the grey progress bar and does nothing. On the computer I tried using chrome and then edge and neither worked. I’m not even getting an error message. I deleted my original Garmin activity in connect because I thought maybe the duplicate was the issue… this sucks.

I would try using FIT File Viewer. Runs in the browser and require no additional software. If you're still unable to import the activity into Garmin Connect, attach the file to this thread. We can take a look to see if it is repairable.
Strangely enough, I can’t even upload to that website from my phone. But I did do it on the computer and it seemed fine. Here’s my zip file.

I think those sizes are correct. The stages cycling power meter file is 19 kb when I export it right now. I can’t re-export the garmin file because I deleted the activity in my app. What’s in the zip folder is the original recording from my watch. And no, I meant I can correctly upload the files into FIT file viewer from my computer, but I still cannot get it to work importing to Garmin connect (neither the original FIT file recorded from my garmin watch, or the merged GOTOES file where I attempted to combine the power meter and watch files).
