I can confirm that it depends on the browser. I tried on my MacBook, Chrome works fine, Firefox and Safari give an error message.
As mentioned before, the response on Firefox and Safari is immediate, there…
To all:
Try uploading it with Microsoft Edge, this works for me now.
I'm using Firefox and this stopped working for me since this week.
Seems to be something with Garmin and Firefox !!! Just used Edge and they went up
I had the same here for .gpx and .fit files. Tried it last Friday and today again with different files but could not upload anything. Then I read the other thread as indicated by HarryOnline and tried Chrome. First from my iPhone where it failed again. Then from my MacBook where I installed Chrome and then it worked. Worked flawlessly before from my iPhone with Safari until last week where problems started.
I have been experiencing the same problem the last few days with both .fit and .gpx files. I use Firefox but seeing comments below I will download Chrome and try again
Hello from Germany,
same problem here for 4 days now. Today I`ve tried uploading via Microsoft Edge and it works perfectly. I usually use Firefox, so I think there is an issue there.
right now it is not possible to upload any fit files on Garmin Connect. Error messaged:
"an error occured while uploading. please try again."
Problem exists since yesterday at least, anyone with a solution?
No but I've got the same issue since Thursday the 11th sept, so I'm also looking for a solution.
Same here. Upload of FIT files AND GPX files is not working.
Are you using Firefox or Safari to import activities? Currently, that is an issue as discussed here - Problems uploading .fit file
If that is the case, the workaround is to use Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge.
If you're already using Chrome or Edge and still have this issue: then you can try to repair the file using FIT File Viewer
If it still doesn't work, zip then attach the file to this thread. We can take a look to see if it is repairable.
Same issue here. I use normally Safari but now I will try Edge on Win11. Hope this will work.
I've submitted a ticket to Garmin Support. Suggest others do the same.
Totally concur. I loaded Waterox to see if that works but no difference from Firefox. Edge works fine as noted.
