Explore Start Location ???

Why does the Explore window always start in Stockholm? Isn't there a way to set the default location? I've look around and found nothing . I hope someone has figured this out.

TIA

Yeah, mine's in Houston now also. Lucky for me that is the correct state :).
  • note this post.

There isn't a way to change the default location for the time being so for now it's truly Exploring! We hear you loud and clear about improving this though.
  • I certainly hope this is changed soon. I find it very frustrating to need to enter my desired location every time. Surely it can't be THAT difficult to have a default (ie user selected) location?

    Search area too broad

Any time frame when this problem will be corrected? For about three months all you can do is search a very small map area. Kind of defeats the "social" aspect of garmin connect. This was posted as a known issue at the end of December. Any progress?

I can't believe Garmin has not fixed this issue yet!

I can't believe Garmin has not fixed this issue yet! It worked fine before they broke it back in December and here it is in February and its still broken. I build web-pages and one of my customers would have fired me after two weeks if i left their website broke.

Ok. I vented ;) Any word on a fix yet? Makes it a difficult for our running club to keep track of each other with this broken.

I don't mind that it opens in a random city, what I do find annoying is that they shrank the size of the area you're allowed to search. You used to be able to search in an area of maybe 10 miles by 10 miles. Now unless you're in on one of the closest zooms of the map it says search area too large. It's really annoying when you're trying to find rides in an area that you're unfamiliar with...
  • has this been fixed yet????? n/t

I'm in Seattle and mine opens up in Atlanta all the time. As soon as I put in 98004 zip it shows the local map and my rides :-)

    Hope this gets fixed soon..

    Really?

Wow - really? You can't set a default starting location for explore? That's just plain ...well... silly.
