API access to Garmin Blaze Equine Wellness System data

Hello everyone,

I am currently evaluating the new Garmin Blaze Equine Wellness System for integration into my own equine IoT/feeding platform. The idea is to use the activity and wellness data (heart rate, skin temperature, gait, recovery time, movement etc.) collected by Blaze to automatically adjust and optimize feeding plans for horses.

I am aware of the existing Garmin Health API and Activity API, which provide access to human health and fitness data synced via Garmin Connect.

My questions are:

  1. Are Blaze data (equine heart rate, activity, skin temperature, etc.) stored in Garmin Connect after synchronization with the Blaze mobile app?
  2. If so, are these data types exposed through the existing Garmin Health API or Activity API?
  3. Or is there a separate API planned (Equine Health / Blaze-specific), or any roadmap for exposing Blaze data to developers?

At this point, I haven’t found any documentation mentioning Blaze in the Garmin Connect Developer Program, so I want to make sure I am not overlooking anything.

Any guidance on whether Blaze data can be accessed programmatically – either now or in the future – would be highly appreciated.
