Comparing 2 or more activities

Maybe I'm just missing it but it would be useful to be able to compare 2 or more activities side by side with respect to splits, HR etc to examine progress. Just a thought.

It's sad that Garmin Connect didn't implemented this when they took over Motionbased, I used it a lot in Motionbased, Garmin has the old code, so how hard can it be?...

Being able to subtract one activity from another shows the difference but obviously this needs some degree of smoothing of the raw data. For example: I know my average cadence was the same today as last week but I can see from the plot is was made up differently, probably due to choice of gear. A delta plot would really highlight the differences. I'll have a "play" with TrainingCentre oops Center ;-)

I agree...Is there a way to compare the same routes (eg compare results from the same 4 mile route that I run?)

I'd like to be able to create a folder to put these in so they're not listed individually and all over the place.

    Thanks
  • same here, the feature available in Garmin Training Centre should be extended to Garmin Connect with the ability to add as many activities as desired.

It's available in Garmin Training Centre

it may be avalible in the garmin training center but the comparison there is crap. it only gives your the graph compareison and honestly i dont want to look at that. plus is small and hard to see. I would love nothing more then to check multple workouts more then just two and compare the split data. I dont care about graphs if you ask me there a big eye sore. i like to see number data. for example i have been running for the last 16 weeks when i started i was way out of shape running around a 10 min mile and my HR getting in the 170 range. now i can run a 6:30 mile with my HR staying in the lower 160 range. I would like to selece all of my one mile activities and compare the splits and even export them to a els spread sheet. It could through me up a summory based on the dates and tell me the time frame and amount of improvment on my time and HR. This may be fairly complicated to achive but it would be alsome and do exactly what i want. I would bet most runners would rather see time improvments over a graph anyday. and the software only allows you to compare two activities and to me the data is useless.
  • This should be an easy no brainer

  • This should be an easy no brainer. Shocked it’s not available or thought of. It’ll happen, but I’m impatient

  • Go to Garmin Connect Web activities list - https://connect.garmin.com/modern/activities

Select up to 4 activities that you want to compare.

Also, the thread is 13 years old, with discussion about MotionBased. Garmin migrated from MotionBased to Garmin Connect in Fall of 2009.
