Internal Server Error

Former Member

I am trying to upload a workout (my first) and I get a 'Failed' message. I have tried both from the device and to manually upload the exported file. When I click on the 'Failed' message I get 'internal server error'. Any suggestions?
  • I'm getting the same problem today. It usually works, but it does have bad days...

    Hi all,

    We've been alerted to the problem. We are investigating now and will post an update ASAP.

    Thanks for your patience!

  • Having exactly the same problem...

    No idea what's going on today ... I was just reviewing the XML files and trying to figure out what was wrong, but it was basically fine. Curiously, a file I successfully uploaded a couple weeks ago is now a "Failed," so I think this is some kind of server-side issue ... not something we did, or are doing, wrong.

    We have isolate the problem. Upload error should be resolved in about 1-2 hours.

    Very sorry for the problems. Thanks again for your patience!

    Has anyone also been getting the "failed to upload to server" problem with ANT? I've had to manually upload activities for the last 2 weeks. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the software(both connector and ANT). The only thing that is uploading automatically is the fitness info from my tanita scale.

    Why can't you guys post a frigging message when we sign into the Garmin Connect web site? I'm soooooooo tired of wasting hours 'troubleshooting' my PC when it's YOUR problem. Why can't you post something when we log in that notifies us that there is a known problem!? It's ridiculous that I have to stumble into this message board to find out that I just wasted half my evening!!!

    AUSTONJA,

    We were just alerted to the problem. Yes, for problems we will post a banner, but we can only do that once we know there is a problem. Banner will be posted momentarily.

  • Looks like this problem has been around since at least 30 December as this forum post shows;

    https://forums.garmin.com/showthread.php?t=4575

    It appears there are problems deleting partially uploaded entires that fail to upload.

    I only seem to notice this on larger files. Smaller files appear fine.
