I have tried to send the following to Garmin Support, however looks like I'm having issues doing this, so thought I'd check in here as well.
I am having issues with one ride on Wahoo Systm (OL Costa Blanca: Port de la Vall d’Ebo) not syncing with Garmin Connect.
All other rides completed on Wahoo Systm are being synced across to Garmin Connect with no issues. OL Costa Blanca: Port de la Vall d’Ebo is a new trainer ride workout that Wahoo recently released on Systm. I have now ridden it three times and each time it has not synced to Garmin Connect, although it does sync with my Strava account. I double record the ride with my Garmin Edge 530 also recording the ride, and this has synced each time without any isses for this ride.
I have put a question out on the Wahoo forums, and two other riders have indicated they are having the same issue. Wahoo support however has responded with the following:
"We have not changed anything with this sync in a long time, and we haven’t heard anything from Garmin (nor have they responded about us setting up another sync with them), so if you do continue to have issues please let us know and we can reach out again."
and then a second response after I pointed out that the sync issues continue (and only occurewith that one particular ride):
"Hmm, that is an interesting thought, might be worth reaching out to Garmin to see if they might be blocking it on their side. It’s not like we have any unique characters and you would think they would support most if not all characters around the world by now."
and finally:
"It would be great if you’re having issues to reach out to Garmin to see what might have changed as we have not done anything with how we are creating these files and sending them over."
Steps I have taken include:
- Removed sync setting and then reset it in both the Systm App and Garmin Connect
- Uninstalled and reinstalled Wahoo Systm
So I'm reaching out to see if there have been any changes on the Garmin side that would lead to this single training ride on Wahoo Systm not syncing with Garmin Connect, or if you have any suggestions on how to correct this if it is from my end.
