Add support for a Withings wifi scale

Instead of me manually entering my weight & body fat, how about having some integration with the Withings wifi scale?

Here's the API link

    Yes, this is really needed!

Please add direct integration between Garmin Connect and Withings. Sure it's possible to use MyFitnessPal as an integration bridge but that extra complexity shouldn't be necessary.

... unless Garmin have somehow been incentivised by Underarmour to make users install MFP and share personal data to that company in the process?

Withings syncs with Apple Health and weight used to trickle across to Garmin Connect, but then one day it stopped working, and a couple of versions later the option to read weight from Apple Health disappeared altogether.

This smells of a feature that’s been removed for commercial reasons.
  • I have my Withings Body scale sync to Apple Health, and Garmin Connect then picks up current weight from Apple Health. This works OK, but according to Apple Health source permissions it can only pick up Date of Birth, Height, Sex, and weight. Seems pretty pointless given the first three are unlikely to change. What I want is to have Garmin Connect pick up, record, and store the Body Fat and BMI data that Withings scale generates - either directly from Withings Health Mate or via Apple Health.
  • would love to see this feature

  • I went looking for something like this recently & came across this fantastic project on github - github.com/.../

Needs a Linux system or VM. Luckily my desktop PC at work runs Linux so it syncs the reading from the scale for me once every night.
