Combine two intervals within an activity into one interval.

If I make a "wrong" arm movement within a lap during swimming training, e.g., because I have to avoid someone, my Fenix 7s may record two intervals instead of one. I know I can adjust the number of laps in the activity, but I want to combine the two intervals into one interval, or delete one interval and adjust the other interval. How do I go about it? If that's not possible, I would appreciate it if the developers would add this to their to-do list.

You can suggest it to Garmin at Share Ideas | Garmin, but it I am afraid there is no chance it could happen within the next decade (or so). Instead of it, rather use an external tool for editing FIT file. For example the https://www.swimmingwatchtools.com/upload could do the trick, I believe.
