Transferring favorites from one Garmin to other Garmin

I hope this is the right section to post this question ?

I have a Garmin GPS C340 I got in 11-07 this past year I updated the maps, but this spring I am buying a Garmin zūmo 660

My question is, is there a way to off-load my Favorites from C340 on the SD card then transfer them into the 660 ?

Thanks jc

Depending on if you have a Mac or a PC, you may have either RoadTrip installed (Mac) or MapSource (PC). If you do, then you can use this to receive information from the device and then use the same application to send them to you new device when you purchase it.

Unfortunately there is no way of exporting the favourites to an SD Card.

I have a PC and MapSource but it is an old copy maybe 10 years old, but I will try it, I believe this is a common problem, many must re-buy Garmin GPS units think about people who must have all kinds of favorites places, what is one to do ? re-enter all of them in a new unit, I hope Garmin makes it easier to do, exporting them on a SD card is one way.

    Thank you for the reply
