Corrupt FIT File Repair Request

Hello!

Would anyone kindly help me repair this .fit file? It is a multisport activity (triathlon) and I was wearing a Fenix 6S Pro and an HRM-Pro Plus.

I remember saving the activity and seeing the download HR message on my watch, but I then lost track and did not notice any error message. I was still wearing the HR band and the watch.

The activity does not appear as my "last activity" on the watch, but I can display it in the watch history, and all the stats seem right. However, it refuses to upload to Garmin Connect, because "the file type is not supported".

Thank you so much for your help!

  • Try running it through FIT File Viewer FIT File Viewer—it works in the browser and can often fix corrupted files. I tested your file, and it imported successfully into Garmin Connect.

  • Thank you so much! So I had tried FIT File Viewer, but when I upload the file to Garmin Connect, though it appears as a multisport activity, only the swimming part is displayed. Could it be because my previous "best version" with the three sports is still uploaded in Garmin Connect and the fixed one is therefore rejected as a duplicate activity? If so, should I try deleting the previous version and uploading the one fixed by FIT File Viewer? (I did not try this yet because I worried I would lose my previous attempt which at least has the three sports, though it is missing some information.)

Yes. If you're worried about losing it, you can export it first and save it to your computer. Then delete it from Garmin Connect Web and import the repaired fit file.

FWIW, this is what I got from FIT File Viewer - [solved]
