Add Map from Maps.Google.Com to Garmin Connect?

I have an application on my Droid which creates Google maps of my run. I use the FR60 to record my workout.

Can I add the google map to my actitivity to capture the actual route and distance as if I had a FR with a GPS?

Here is an example:

GC Activity: http://connect.garmin.com/activity/21230102

Corresponding Map: http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UTF8&hl=en&msa=0&msid=102950237695260740493.00047be130d01a50c3f2e&z=17

I would like to see the map when I log into Garmin Connect.

Any thoughts?

    Bump?

Any ideas anyone? I just want to add a map to the workout on garmin connect. I have the link from google maps. How do I edit garmin connect to show the map on the workout?
  • I have an FR60 same as you...

I found this thread, searching how to do exactly the same thing.

I would like to create a "path" in google earth, export that map and attach that map to the "Map View" in one of my activities.

    havent found a way forward....doh:(

Sorry, I don't have the answer but I want to do the same with my FR60. I guess that if you want maps you have to buy a forerunner with GPS built in.

Sporttracks enables you to add maps to data from the FR60 but I cannot combine them and import it into Garmin Connect.

    I do it

I find the file on my Droid Device, open it with my (free version of) Topo Fusion, and then save it as a garmin TCX file, which I then manually upload. Works fine and allows me to trim if I need to.
