How come Garmin Connect does not allow you to automatically publish to facebook or twitter? That seems to be a common feature on other online sports sites.

It would also be great if Garmin Connect became more of a community like Daily Mile where people can comment on other people's workouts, support each other, and motivate!

One more thing to look for when the Share button is inactive is to make sure the activity is ublocked first. I change my privacy setting to make it public but it will not automatically unlock the previous activities. You have to go to each previous activity an unlock it.

    New Features

Not sure if most of you are familiar with "Endomondo.com" but I think it has everything that garmin connect doesn't. You can compete in challenges, give peptalks to someone while they are training, create teams, invite friends, and much more. I have found it useful to use both sites. They allow you to track more exercises also. They also import from your Garmin device and will auto post your workouts to Facebook.

Try the MyMotionbased application within Facebook, just google MyMotionbased Facebook and you'll find it. Worked great for me.

Yesterday I got my 405 as a birthday gift. Today I did a first small test walk, everything worked well, but like mentioned above, I can't seem to figure how to share it onto my facebookaccount. When I click the 'share' button nothing happens. My privacy details seems to be okay, but nothing happens.

I hope someone can help me out...

I got the "share" function to work correctly in IE8 by turning on Compatibillity View under IE8 Tools
