How come Garmin Connect does not allow you to automatically publish to facebook or twitter? That seems to be a common feature on other online sports sites.

It would also be great if Garmin Connect became more of a community like Daily Mile where people can comment on other people's workouts, support each other, and motivate!

It does. View details for an activity, then Share. Plenty of choice.

Social Sharing

When I go to the details, the share button is greyed out and I can't use it. What do I need to do to get the share button usable?

DailyMile just added Garmin import and they have great social sharing

Check out DailyMile. They just added Garmin device import. DailyMile ha great social sharing.

facebook

so maybee i am slow, but in garmin connect under the activity detail, i cant figure out how to share my activity with facebook. i see where it sais share, and my privacy is open, but when i click on share it does nothing.

please help.

It does work. I shared one thing today. Unfortunately, the person clicking the Garmin link is asked to set up an account. :( I don't get this.

Shared to both Twitter and Facebook today.

Like the idea of being able to build a social network within GC though, that would be good. Perhaps you should put your suggestion on the Feature Request page.

i'm having same problem, security is open, every thing looks fine, but nothing happens when i click on share. i've traded email with support but they haven't been able to help so far

Sharing

I'm having problems too, security is set to allow sharing, and the share button is not grayed out, but clicking it does nothing :confused: what am I missing. I had no problems when I ran last week.

Looks like my problem is solved.
