Delete activities - Server Error

Dear all

I have browsed through a couple of threads re this, but still no joy.

First, the activity can't be displayed (although it transfer correctly), giving 'Server Error'.

Secondly, when trying to delete it (all 3 methods tried), I get either 'Bad Request', or '(Internal) Server Error'.

Any idea how I can either get my activities to display correclty, or to delete the presumed faulty activities.

  • I am having this exact same issue with 2 different bike rides I uploaded from my Edge 705 unit. One ride was 136 miles long, the other 164. The .tcx files are 8MB and 10MB respectively.

    I was able to upload a shorter ride, 45 miles long, without any issues.

    Any help?

  • Can one of the admin’s delete the corrupted data perhaps, as I keep on getting 'Bad Request'. This is preventing me to upload new data, as it is already contained in the corrupted upload, or alternatively - where is the check being done to see if data is already imported or not, only on the time stamps?

    I have same exact issue. One of my uploaded files from my Edge 705 gives this error in Garmin Connect and I can't delete or re-upload it.

    It is a "strange" file also, in that it actually contains rides from 4 separate days, but is a single tcx, that looks like a single day file. Size is just shy of 5MB.

    I have the same problem.. "Bad Request" or "internal server error" when trying to delete some strange activities (tried a number of ways).

    It isnt the end of the world, just makes life confusing

    I'm also having the exact same problem.

    So frustrating and discouraging that this problem has been happening for over two weeks and there has been no reply from Garmin here and no attempt to fix the issue.
  • I've got the same problem.

    3 Activities all the same that can't be deleted. When you access them they all say Internal Server Error or Bad Data or something.

    It was one quite large file of about 9Mb that got uploaded a number of times but kept failing.

    Does anyone know what the max size limit is for connect.garmin.com ?

    It imports fine into Training Center so the file itself isn't corrupt.

    I've log a call as it appears we are all being ignored by support staff here in this Forum which is a shame.
  • Same problem here. Can't delete file. Keep getting a "bad request" error.
  • I just uploaded a 105 mile ride done with my Edge 500 and the ride is having issues displaying on the map.
  • Just today I was able to delete a new activity on my Garmin connect but the older one from a few days ago remains undeletable.

    I have this same problem on larger files from my Garmin 705. They won't display a map or graphs and I can't delete them.
