I can see all my activities in my Garmin Dashboard, but if I do a search on my postcode or town in Garmin Explore my activities do not exist, but they use to. They seem to have disappeared. I can see other Garmin uses from my town, but not me.:confused:
I worked on this as well and can find my activities but only if the search is limited to a ridiculously small area and time. Other individuals very close to me in geographical location will also show up. It does appear they are working on this. It was working well and now is very difficult to use.
The link that Praachee provided worked, but as soon as you redo a search on Albany WA (Western Australia) none of my activities come up. I can see everyone else but not mine. My friends want to view my results but no matter what I do it doesn't work. This is quite frustrating as this was all working fine about 4 weeks ago and it hasn't worked since. There are more the 30 activities in my dashboard all unlocked. Any one else with ideas.
Hi I have the same issue, tried to enter my user name into the keywords field and location as mentioned in either my comments or title into the starting near no joy, or just user name into keywords and nada nothing not sure if its me doing something wrong or what, read all above posts tried links and still no joy?.
This is frustrating. Seems that MotionBased searching worked much better from what I remember anyway... No need to enter a location for sure.. You could enter a keyword, and say to find activity matching that key word in the last 7 days or something, and it would do a good job of finding everything matching it - and the timing for searching the database was not bad considering all it had to search through...
I hope they get this fixed soon. Sometimes I want to see example of people doing a certain sport, so I search for that, and have no idea where the location would be.... Ever since last summer, being forced to upgrade from MotionBased to Garmin Connect, it seems that this search has never worked in an intuitive way... It has always demanded a location to be listed, and would not seem to accept a general location, like United States, or nothing would be found...
Other parts of the upgrade to Garmin Connect, i have liked, but searching limitations and things not working correctly with searching in explore is not an example of one of them...
Please let me know the activityId for the activity you are referring to. Make sure you have given a name to your activity and its not untitled.
I live in Africa, and in the past I could search for public activities in Nairobi and other capital cities in Africa ... but for the last month (or longer) there have been ABSOLUTELY NO RESULTS when I search for activities in those cities. Garmin, is there a date by which you expect to have this working again? Truly, this is one of the best features of Garmin.Connect and if you don't deal with this it will make your product obsolete! Thank you.
Hello Praachee, The first errors are from 30-12-2009, its now 15 days ago and the explorer still have findings problems .. Otherwise return back to the old situation and launch the new futures when the work properly. We are customers and the will work only with good software.
Not to hijack, but where can you record activities for your garmin? I found connect but I don't have a work out device that it shows when you try to start garmin connect.
I got excited yesterday when I saw that the Garmin connect web site was out for a short period for maintenance. YES, maybe they will fix my problem. Sadly I my friends still can't see my rides. Click on explore for my home town where there are more than 40 rides and no one can see them. It like I don't exist.
