Linux/Cross Platform support

Garmin,

Please develop your tools so they are operating system agnostic. A browser plugin should not care what OS is behind it. The only thing keeping me from loving my garmin nuvi 755 is that I can't register it because the software requires windows or mac.

PLEASE find a way to support the linux community. Even if its making the code and info available to us to build our own tools.

Linux Support

I second the call for Linux Support.

There is some great GPS support under linux:

Unfortunately garmin connect isn't one of them.

linux support needed

Please garmin,
introduce linux support or at least help community developers! I was going to buy a 310XT but I couldn't since I don't want to buy a Windows license as well!

Another vote for Linux support. It's too small a market to be worth Garmin's time, but providing enough technical details for users to implement their own ANT Agent shouldn't affect them negatively.
With a native ANT Agent replacement, we could import the .tcx files it generates into the Training Center software, which runs fine using Wine.

Maybe if enough people say they want linux support then we can get the support/tools we need. So I wholeheartedly want to add my "pretty please" into the mix.

I had to install a virtual machine on my linux laptop so I could run windows and linux simultaneously but I would much prefer a native app.

Clarifying my request above. I don't care if Training Center is ported to any other platform. A native ANT Agent for Linux is what I am requesting - or sufficient documentation for us to do it ourselves.

I wish for linux support for software like POILoader and mapsource or the fantastic Tyre (http://www.janboersma.nl/gett/)

Or tuning, to make them usable under wine at least... ;)
