Request to Add Wingfoiling as an Activity in Garmin Connect

Dear Garmin Team,

I would like to kindly submit a request to add wingfoiling as a dedicated activity within Garmin Connect and compatible Garmin devices.

Wingfoiling is a rapidly growing watersport that combines elements of windsurfing, kitesurfing, and foiling. The sport is gaining popularity worldwide, with thousands of active participants and an increasing number of competitions and events. Despite its growth, Garmin currently does not offer a specific activity profile for wingfoiling, leading users to log their sessions under general categories like “windsurfing” or “other.” Unfortunately, this does not reflect the unique characteristics of the sport.

Adding a dedicated wingfoiling activity would allow users to:

Analyze specific metrics such as speed, distance, heart rate, elevation changes (due to foiling above the water), and session duration more accurately;

Log and compare workouts in a more meaningful way;

Enhance the overall experience for a growing community of Garmin-using wingfoilers.

I strongly believe that introducing wingfoiling as a recognized activity will benefit your users and further reinforce Garmin’s reputation as a versatile and innovative partner in the sports and outdoor world.

Thank you for considering this suggestion. I hope it can be included in a future update.

  • Yes,please. I’m new to the Garmin community, just got my first watch specifically for Wing  Foiling as a saw. There was a Garmin app. But then disappointed there are all the other activities but not Wing Foiling
