Extrex H - Stuck with Cyrillic Characters even when language changed

Hello Garmin and forumites :)

I have had an eTrex for years, and it's been great. I recently got in to geocaching, and thought I'd get my parents involved too!

So I went out and got another eTrex, the eTrex H which looks identical to my old one!

I fired it up out of the box, and was amazed to find it all in Russian!

Happily I reached for my old one, and followed the menu structure through and changed the language, so it can now be easily understood. I am now stuck with Cyrillic characters when entering waypoints in the alphabet, so I get 123456789 and Cyrillic alphabet, then the normal English one.

This is actually quite annoying, and makes everything take longer, and for people new to the device, I want it as simple as possible!

Can anybody tell me what combination of buttons I can press to totally remove the Russian support from my unit, as I am never going to use it.

I am guessing it'll be a case of needing to pay for a data cable and deleting it from the memory, which I can do, but is a bit annoying!

Thanks for any help you can offer, I hope you're all having an excellent Christmas!

Ben
