I can’t believe my training schedule for my ‘taper week’ prior to my 10k race. I have a long run, a tempo session, and the day before the race: 10 mins base, 2 x 18 mins threshold with 5 mins jogging recovery, followed by 10 mins base. Usually, I’d rest the day before a race, or do an easy 5k.
what is the logic behind Garmin’s training plans which suggest such a hard session the day before a race?
