I can't get Mapsource to transfer maps on to my eTrex Legend HCx

When I plug it into the computer and open up Map Source I get the Message

"The required memory for storing Maps is missing from your GPS - If your GPS uses a programable data card, check to make sure it is inserted correctly"

I just got the GPS, so all that is on it is the basic maps that come with ti, so there should be room. And I can't see a data card to check. Please help? Its a Christmas present for my father and I'd like it to be all step up for him Christmas.

Your unit uses microSD cards and it did not come with one out of the box.

If your firmware is up to date you can use up to a 4GB card, but you certainly do not have to.

You can pick up a good sized card for around $10. I picked up a few 4GB cards for that price on Black Friday so do some shopping around.
