Deleting Goals

Really? It's been resolved for many people already? I haven't heard from anyone in this discussion who has had this problem fixed and it has stayed fixed.

Please post in this thread if your problem with deleting and editing Goals has been 100% resolved. Mine has not.

This is not a problem with the watch, this is a coding problem on your website! It doesn't seem like rocket science.

Windows 7 64 bits pro.

1) why don't you inform users not to create any new goals if its spoiling there training programs ?

2) why do you offer a create goal option if one CAN"T delete the goal ?

People are free to create Goals because most users have no need to delete them. When we launched Goals we had no intention of creating the ability to delete or edit them. When customers asked for the update, we offered it. It is not being pulled back since it is working for many users.

Regarding your OS and browser, please check the FAQs, as we do not support Linux or Chrome.

1) you should support ANT stick communication with linux

2) if you added a create goal option it only makes sense to add a delete goal option ... :)

3) if it works i'd like to see a youtube video of it because i doubt it working

4) I even tried with firefox but no delete button shows up ... it can't be a client side problem

5) what has an Operating system got to do with browsing the INternet ? and not displaying a simple delete button ?

*internet lets different computers with different Operating systems communicate... no ?

Why can’t I edit an Active or History goal?
Once a goal has become active or has elapsed, you will not be able to amend any details of that goal. You can, however, delete any goal.

I did not say it was a client side problem. I did say that not all users are experiencing the problem.

We will not be supporting Linux.

We do offer create/edit/delete Goals. We are still sorry that it does not work for some users.

The fix will be released mid-March.

kk, your comment implies that Garmin has a fix for this. What is happening in mid March? Is GC getting an overhaul in general and this is just a part of it? Just wondering why we have to wait for over a month more for this fix.

As for your claim that this problem is only affecting some people and not all, what are you basing this on? Besides me, I think there was only one other person in this particular thread who has actually seen the delete button, and that didn't last very long. Where does your info come from that it is working just fine for some people? There are only so many browsers and only so many operating systems and only so many combinations of the two, and as a website manager I probably have most of them. It doesn't make any sense then that it would be working for some and not others. Makes even less sense that it would work one minute and not the next on the same computer (as in my case, and the one other person in this thread). Is it working for anyone at Garmin? Is it working for you?

Are you serious that Garmin had no intention of giving edit/delete functionality to this feature? Why would that make sense to anyone? So you would have all of these old goals and couldn't do anything with them and they would just accumulate, even the ones that are there that you made a mistake on. That sounds like it really wasn't thought through.

Looking forward to the fix. Goals are an important feature for me.

Delete button and edit functions working this morning, 9:30am, IE 7, Windows XP Professional.

Let's see if it will stick :)
