Deleting Goals

Hi all,

We do understand the frustration with this problem; the engineers have been trying to solve the error system wide for the time it's been down. When we released the fix in December it did take affect, but not system wide. We continue troubleshooting and will get the complete fix out ASAP.

Clearing cache does not solve the problem in any of my browsers, Mac or Windows. Firefox, Safari, IE...doesn't matter.

This cannot be a client-side issue. Like I mentioned earlier in this thread, I was able to delete and edit my goals and then the functionality disappeared, twice. It was working fine in Safari AND Firefox on my Mac, and in IE in Windows. It all worked fine. Then the delete button disappeared and I could no longer edit my goals. Sometime later it was back, and then disappeared again. Something had to happen on your end to make it disappear.

Woops! Sorry KK, I should have read the thread all the way to the bottom and I would have read that you mentioned that the take was not system wide, which makes sense because at the same time that I was posting that it was fixed others were still saying they couldn't see it. Thanks for your help :)

It's working today....right now....although I am trying not to breathe too close to the monitor for fear it will go away again as I noticed the delete button earlier this afternoon but it went away as soon as I refreshed my screen.

On a PC with IE7. I will check on my Mac tonight.

Annnnnd....it's gone again. That was fast :confused:

On the same computer with the same browser. It was working for awhile, delete and edit functions. Then the functionality just went away.

Solution

It seems to me that Garmin's solution is kinda obvious. :)

On the right hand side of the Garmin Connect homepage, under announcements, there is a posting for "web designer".

This issue might be frustrating, but it tells me Garmin is taking the problem seriously enough and trying to address it properly, and for the long term.

Delete / Editing Goals

I have the same problem of not having any icons giving me the ability to delete or edit my active or future goals. (User name bigcheese2434)

However my wife does and is using the same PC. (user name Mainsqueeze)

PC O/S Windows XP SP3
Browser IE8 & Google Chrome
Security Kapersky Internet security 2009

Also no facility to delete or edit when using laptop

O/S Windows 7
Browser IE8 & Google Chrome 4.0.249.78

Why is so difficult for Garmin Connect dev team to implement a solution for this issue??? :confused:

Today is Feb 3rd and I've just made my first traning session of the month. Now I want to set my goal for Feburary and I can't! :eek: #EPICFAIL

Sorry you feel that way. We have been very communicative with the problem. For many customers the error of not being able to Delete or Edit a Goal has been fixed.

Are you saying that you cannot Create a Goal? If this is the case then this is a new error. We have not heard from anyone that they cannot Create a Goal.

Please post your OS, browser and version and we'll look into it.
