Accuracy Problem

Former Member

Dear;
I have a question regarding accuracy, hope I can explain it. I take some `marks` from my Garmin GPS device `eTrex Hxc`, after that I import it to google earth, but most POI is not mark exactly on position.

On other mean, my point is located on +-5 m from where i mark it.

I Expect the Accuracy is play some thing. Some time it's 2m, 5m, 10m.

If there is any solution for this problem,
please help me.

Thanks.

    "Today's GPS receivers are extremely accurate, thanks to their parallel multi-channel design. Garmin's 12 parallel channel receivers are quick to lock onto satellites when first turned on and they maintain strong locks, even in dense foliage or urban settings with tall buildings. Certain atmospheric factors and other sources of error can affect the accuracy of GPS receivers. Garmin® GPS receivers are accurate to within 15 meters on average." If you are looking for a device more accurate than a recreational device, you may need to look into surveying grade.
