Treadmill Question

I ran on treadmill with my garmin305. I then uploaded my data to connect. I now have my heart rate information. I know that I ran 5.26 miles. How can I get that onto my log? Right now it reads 0.00 miles on garmin connect.

I asked about this a few months ago.

I do indoor activities on the elliptical and the treadmill and mark each 250/500m as a lap time.

There is No way to add a distance to a lap time from within Connect. (does anyone know any other software on a mac that will do this? Ascent doesn't either)

Apparently if you have a foot pod this will supply the required data on the treadmill but not on an elliptical.

Since Garmin "moved" from a "MOTIONbased" site I would have though this would be a required feature, but there again many more features are also missing...

Actually, you can edit the distance of an activity in Ascent. I did it recently when I was riding on my rollers and the GSC-10 had a lot of droputs and didn't record all the distance that I rode, so I wanted to correct the distance.

In fact, not only was I able to correct the distance in Ascent, I was able to correct the distance in rubiTracks and RunSaturday. It's only the Garmin products (Garmin Connect and Garmin Training Center) that I can't edit the distance.

At this time you are not able to edit the distance of an activity that has been uploaded to Garmin Connect, however you may manually enter an activity into Garmin Connect.

Because you are training indoors and not moving over a distance you would need a foot pod to record your distance.

That's funny the treadmill told me that I had run 5K!

The elliptical on which I move a lot will not work with a foot pod.

Seriously since many more garmin sport devices are being added to the range, can Connect now please be able to add split distances to heart rate data?

But is there any software where I can add the split distances to my heart rate (non-gps) data. My polar PPP3 software could, but it is not recognised when the .hrm data file is imported.
In Ascent you can add a total distance but not a split.
