Cumulative Total Time On Splits Screen

I think it would be a good feature to add a cumulative total time in a new column next to the splits times under the Splits Tab.

It would make it very easy to compare your progress between two activities quickly and easily over the distance of the activity.

Thanks

I would really like to see a feature like this too. It's a real pain to have to export to Excel so that I can calculate cumulative times/distances or calculate a time for a subsection of a training session.

Me too - and it's now 2013. Obviously not going to happen.

A workaround would be to have another site that does that using the .tcx exported from GC, tried Strava, but nope...there might be others out there?

I'm torn between a) not boring the pants off everyone just repeating the point and b) adding yet another complaint on this topic (and there have been other, similar, threads) to add a bit more weight, in the hope that Garmin can be persuaded to take notice, but here goes ~

Why, oh why do not Garmin improve their software to include a cumulative time facility? The technology surely cannot be a problem ~ the rest of their stuff is clever, sophisticated and, in some areas, elegant and amazing. By and large, it works.

I have today run a particular route for the second time. I need to know how I did throughout the run and compare it with the first trip over the same route. How basic is that? In order to compare my cumulative times at different points in my two runs, I have had to add up all the individual splits. Twice. And will have to do it all over again after the next run.

At least with my old, very cheap, 30 year old Casio sports watch I could jot down after a run the (cumulative) splits I had recorded by pressing the "lap" button during my run. Perhaps I should wear that on the other wrist and click at each chosen landmark as I used to.

    Wakey, wakey Garmin!

I totally agree with you and feel your frustration mate.

The funny thing is my partner has an iPhone with Endomondo (free version) and this does this task perfectly so I am wondering do I ditch my Garmin Forerunner 405 in place of my iPhone with Endomondo on the runs I do.

For those saying there is a work around ask yourself this, why when we have all paid several hundred pounds for a Garmin product which we all know records accumulative time should we then have to use another product because Garmin Connect isn't up to the job of displaying one extra column with accumulative time in the splits area.

    Sort it out GARMIN!!!
  • I think I read that they'd canned most of the original MotionBeats (makers of GC) team recently...so there might be even fewer new features on GC going forward :-(

What was the last new feature as I have been using it for a couple of years and I have not noticed any?

    +1 for me

me too...just invested in FR620 and was surprise this simple feature is not there. I can't believe it :(
  • Just bumping this thread. Thought I was being thick in not being able to find such an obviously absent feature?
