Feature Request: Unlock Manual Body Composition Entry After Removing Smart Scale

I previously used the Garmin Index scale, but stopped due to consistently inaccurate body fat readings (8–10% off compared to DEXA and calipers). After removing the scale, Garmin Connect still blocks manual entry of body fat %, skeletal muscle mass, and other composition fields.

I’ve confirmed with support that this is now locked by design. That’s extremely limiting for users who prefer to track accurate body comp manually or use alternative methods.

I'm requesting that Garmin re-enable manual body composition input after a scale is removed—or provide an account-level reset to restore this function.

This is not a new feature request—it’s about regaining control over data after removing an inaccurate device.

Has it ever been enabled? As far as I know, I've only ever been able to enter weight as a manual entry, with or without a Garmin scale as a connected Garmin device. Other fields would require importing a CSV file, as mentioned here - Import Old Weight Data - Garmin Connect Web - Mobile Apps & Web - Garmin Forums

As for requesting that Garmin make it easier to do so, you could submit this using the Garmin Ideas page. Although, I suspect that over the years there have been multiple similar requests.
