If you have the extra money to buy this and to get all the maps you need then you more than likely have someone to drive your boat/car for you! I took it back today and well got a refund. Come on really 350$ for a GPS with no preloaded maps. Ok charge another 50 bucks and give me at least one map. Garman your customer support really needs some help! This was my first Garman and my first time dealing with their customer support and I will not be calling them guys anymore. Thanks for wasting my time and I hope others have better luck.
This receiver is old, anyway. I wouldn't be surprised if it gets discontinued within a year. I've been using mine for a few years, and it was out for over a year when I bought it.
It still works great, though...just a little limited in some respects with the new touchscreens out. But I'll probably use it awhile longer because the new touchscreens are pricey.
