Windows 2000 support gone?!

Yeah - I should upgrade my last Windows PC at home to at least XP, but please don't force me to an update that does not work for me!

When I tried to upload my last ride from my Edge 305, GC told me there was an agent update available. So I tried that. It won't run on W2K. Fine - I'll just keep using the old one until I upgrade, I said. But... GC will not let me upload without the new agent now!

I have other PC's at home but they are Linux and there is no support for uploading from them either.

Guess I will have to bring my Edge to work in order to upload.

    Really?

Do you really expect support for an OS that has been gone for years? Why doesn't Nintendo support my SNES anymore!

Define gone? Microsoft is still supporting it...

This is the way of the game with tech. No way I would expect Win 3.1 to use a modern web browser with all its bells & whistles. New tech comes out and it made available for newer machines. If you want to use the new, you have to upgrade.

    yes, it's gone...

the mainstream support (free of charge) from MS for W2000 has already ended in june 2005

the Extended Support is runnig 'till middle of 2010,
but this is NOT free of charge.
