Help with courses!

Hello,

I could use some pointers with courses. 1st I cycle a short round before dinner and added the last time I did it as a favoriete and when I go in my edge 1050 I find it under navigation, courses. But when I go into Garmin Connect web, I do not see it under my courses. How do I get it there?

Second, I was checking out other people's routes with different lengths starting near my house to ride. My idea was to add it to my courses in Garmin connect and then edit the starting and end point to my house. I can synchronise such a route to my Edge 1050 but it doesn't show up anywhere in Garmin connect. I'd like to add it to Garmin connect my courses, edit it and then send it to my device.

Suggestions anyone?

ps. somewhere down the line I lost the view in connect with other people's course and can't get it back anymore :-(. Not the most intuitive software....

It doesn't happen automatically. In Garmin Connect Web activities list open the activity you want to be a course - https://connect.garmin.com/modern/activities

With the activity open, click the gear icon, then "Save to My Courses."

That will open the "Create a Course" page where you can add the details, then save. The course will then be saved in your list of courses - https://connect.garmin.com/modern/courses

Open the other persons course, then on the bottom select the 3-dot menu then "Duplicate"

This will again open the "Create a Course" page where you can drag start/end to your house. It does take some practice to manipulate a course this way, but it can work. Or you can just leave the course as is. When you start the course from your home the edge will direct you to the starting point.
