British Ordnance Survey Grid References?

I have a Garmin Quest and the last time that I used it was over five years when it helped me make a journey round the coast of Britain in what we in Britain call a, Motor caravan.
I have spent the last few hours getting to know the Quest again but I can not work out if it is able to express a position in British, Ordnance Survey Grid Reference form rather than Latitude and Longitude.
  • I don't have Quest myself but I've just had a l0ok at the User Manual online. BTW you can see this yourself at:

    http://www8.garmin.com/products/manual.jsp?product=010-00306-00.

I think you may be able to do this if you do the following:

    1) Press Menu twice, highlight unit setup then press OK
    2) Under Locaion format, you should be able to select "British Grid". This should automatically set the "Datum" choice to OS GB or Ord Srvy GB.
    3) If the Datum isn't automatically set to OS GB you will need to do this yourself as per above.

Hope this helps. As I said, I don't actually have a Quest bu I don't see why this wouln't work. BTW, I got this from page 39 of the manual linked to above.
