Wrong date for Activity on FR60 and Garmin connect

Hey all -

Not sure if anyone has run into this, but I just finished a run with my FR60, today, 11/26. When I completed the run, I pressed Stop, held the Lap button for three seconds to save it, and went on home. When I synced the FR60 with my computer and uploaded the data to Garmin Connect, the run showed up on the Calendar and in all other logs as having occurred on 11/25. I looked back at my watch, and it also shows the date of the activity as 11/25. The date on my watch is 11/26 - which is correct. Yesterday, 11/25, I went for a run (my first with this watch) and uploaded the data and everything showed up correctly on the watch and on Garmin connect as having the correct date. The only thing I did differently today was hold the lap button down for 3 seconds to reset at the end of the run. Is there something wrong with other settings?

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks!!!
Jason
  • You have to push/hold the lap button through the 3-2-1 countdown to properly terminate an activity. When you only press 'stop', it really only pauses the data recording, so that you can re-start recording and get multiple components of a particular event logged as a single activity. As an example, you might do a bike ride to a coffee shop, stop there for 20 minutes, then ride home. You can start recording at your house, stop when you arrive at the coffee shop, start recording again when you leave the coffee shop, then stop at your house, and only THEN do the 3-2-1-reset with the lap button. Then your entire trip out and back will show up in TC or Garmin Connect as a single activity.

So the reason you got yesterday's date on today's activity is that it logged both yesterday's and today's sessions into a single activity, which started yesterday.
