Hi i'm new here so please bear with me, I have just bought a garmin 1310 and got my son to set it all up and download all relevant data from my computor but he cound'nt down load the free safety camera data, I have tried since and had the same problem when you press connect on the site nothing seems to happen. i would appreciate any advice as i am at my wits end, i have e-mailed garminabout this problem but still awaiting there reply. also has anyone a contact number so i can contact them by phone and maybe get some answers that way:

Well I rang "Garmin Customer Services" about the above problem I had, he told me to go onto the Java web site and carryout a free "Java" download onto my computor, which he said is a driver tool for Garmin's safety camera data, onceI had downloaded this the safety camera data from the Garmin wabsite downloaded without a hitch. so that's me up and running now.
I find the Car charger lead very stiff in this cold weather conditions and hard to keep it out of the way of the car dash controls, I previously had a" Navman 520" and this lead was of a soft / pliable rubber compound and much better to handle in these cold conditions, it seems to devalue the Garmin some what to find this cheap attachment, to spend a few bob more would have been so much more appealing.
