menu disappears

Hello,

I use Safari on MacOs. Since a couple of days the main menu on the left in connect disappears, even when I click the menu open button

I can open it, but when I chose an option the menu collapse again, it used to stay open. Also, since the same time the Lactate Threshold screen shows only the current data. The graph on 4w and 12w are blank.

  • small update from my side: from today morning it seems Garmin Connect web works like before: the toogle switch is functional again and the left menu frame stays open regardless of sub menues selected, same behaviour like it was before Apr.28, I'm using Win10 tested with Edge and Firefox browser

  • Using Firefox 115, which I cannot upgrade, the sidebar on the Connect Web site looks like this:

This appears to be caused by the use of   &::   notation in the CSS rules in src/components/MainSidebar/MainSidebar.module.css

The rest of the site works fine, just as before.

Please have responsible devs hammer this in place, because this renders the site almost unusable.

Not everyone's running the latest Chrome. Some of us are stuck with older browsers for a variety of reasons.

  • This doesn't apply to your older browser, but this issue was reported and fixed - menu disappears

Some posts in that thread do mention that users of Firefox on Windows 7 are still having the sidebar issue.

Another thread offers workaround for older browsers - connect web menu - win7 - firefox

Please have responsible devs hammer this in place, because this renders the site almost unusable.

It would be unlikely to get a response on this forum from Garmin as this is more of a user-to-user forum. I suggest contacting Garmin Support directly to report the issue.

  • I reported this to the support last week. No a peep back yet.

  • If you used email, it typically takes 3 to 5 business days. Yesterday was a holiday in the US. For the quickest response. try the phone call or chat options, which do vary depending on your region and time of day.

  • It was over a week ago, but I'm not in the US.

  • Just call support then. If you're unable to find the support phone number, let me know which country you are in or you can send me a private message.

  • This is bizarre. I don't need support, this not my problem. It's their problem, so I don't see why I should be chasing them.

To add to the irony, there is a page specifically for reporting website errors - https://www8.garmin.com/contact-us/website - only for all submissions to fail with "page not found".
