menu disappears

Hello,

I use Safari on MacOs. Since a couple of days the main menu on the left in connect disappears, even when I click the menu open button

I can open it, but when I chose an option the menu collapse again, it used to stay open. Also, since the same time the Lactate Threshold screen shows only the current data. The graph on 4w and 12w are blank.

  • In my case, this appears to be fixed. Tested in Edge, Chrome, and Firefox.

  • This is in my outdated, unsupported Chrome in Windows 7. Menu selections have gone from some degree of transparent to full dark. Perhaps on current supported versions the issues are fixed?

Yes. I can only speak for me, which is why I stated as such.

In my case, this appears to be fixed
    • Windows 11 Version 24H2
    • Microsoft Edge Version 136.0.3240.76
    • Google Chrome Version 136.0.7103.114
    • Mozilla Firefox Version 138.0.4

The sidebar menu remains expanded when clicking "Toggle Menu."

  • jan.shim,

I have the exact same symptoms on my win 7 desktop computer too.  My year old laptop, and my cell phone all work the Garmin Connect perfectly.
The part that makes me angry is that one month ago, Connect worked fine on my win 7 desktop, but Garmin did something to the app that ruined its usabilty for me.  I like to use my desktop computer to create and import courses, and now I can't easily do that because of something Garmin did.
The link that seilogramp provided has made it possible for me to still create and import courses, but using the link is still is not as good as things were before.
Here is the direct link to the Courses section of Garmin Connect that seilogramp posted:
    connect.garmin.com/.../courses

  • Yes, seem to be fixed. Using Opera GX on Windows 11. So it takes at least approximately one month for garmin to fix this problem. Congrats ;)

What I find terrifying is, that so much users are still using Windows 7. We have 2025 and the support of windows 7 ended with January 2020. The OS itself is 16 years old.

    just my 2 cents.....

  • Still in use and works good big amount of PCs based not in so new HW, which have installed Win7 OS, because in modern OS, especially WinXX, manufacturer cut support of such HW. If PC still works good and satisfied owners, I see no reason to buy new HW.
Moreover mentioned in this topic issue touched even modern OS.
    just my 5 cents...

    P.S.
For Win7 owners exist a lot of alternative browsers, personally I used Supermium, in up-to-date Chromium-based web browser compatible with Windows XP, 2003, Vista, 7, 8.x, and newer: win32subsystem.live/.../
Supermium 132.0.X works good and has not any problem with mentioned Garmin menu issue.

I decided to give Supermium 132 a try and have to agree with you – it's light and just works! I previous tried Yandex and didn't like the bloat, this one is perfect. Thanks!

Because really good virus, malware and security software developers have not abandoned Win 7 – their collective support have allowed us to continue using Win 7 safely. I have a high performance desktop that I painstakingly built and customise for my work which I'm not prepared to go the same lengths for Win10/11, they just wouldn't be the same. I keep multiple copies of my drive image for backups; something goes wrong and it gets restored in minutes.

  • I just tried (Safari on MacOS) and it is working again!
