Recovery Heart Rate

Since Recovery Heart Rate is a very useful indicator of health, it would be great if that data could be available in the Garmin Connect database. Either via manual entry or (better, if possible), calculated by the system.

I've seen RHR described two ways; one-minute reduction and two minute reduction. Since both seem useful, and are available in the raw data the watch collects, why not have both the one and two minute heart rates shown.

I think having this calculated by the system would be a great enhancement! Count me as a +1.
  • It doesn't really matter whether you use1 minute or 2 minute RHR as long as you consistently use the same time interval.
  • I think what the OP wants is to have the Forerunner or Edge record the HR at, say, 15-second intervals after the stop button is pressed, and continue until either the reset button is pressed or the stop(start) button is pressed again.

These data could be uploaded along with the main workout and stored on GC with each workout. Then you could analyze it however you want -- 1 minute after your workout, 2 minutes after, or whatever -- and it would be easy to have a history of how your RHR has improved over time.
