External Heart Rate Monitors 3rd party

Hi,

I have a 3rd party external chest strap HRM (Polar H10) paired with my Garmin Forerunner 965. After the activity is saved, is it possible to view whether the HRM was recorded using this external HRM?

I have seen this question has been asked in relation to using Garmin HRMs before, but not a third party one.

You can check it in several ways, though the simplest is probably using the FIT File Viewer - when you click the Chart icon at the top, you can then see whether curves from both external and internal HR sensors are listed, and compare them. If only the internal sensor is listed, the HRM was not used.
