Hi Guys and Girls,
Just splashed out £250 on the Oregon 300 from Amazon. My expereience so far is not that great, I was wondering if someone would be willing to give me some advice.
In the box that came with the product there was the normal stuff like the unit, strap and a CD, (no software or manual though to my surprise) jsut a little piddly card showing about 5 things to try out.
I switched the unit on and was not that impressd with the base maps that were installed on the system, absolutly no detail what so ever complete waste of time.
I them spoke to some guy at work who lent me his memory map product so i could see what things looked like before i went ahead and spent yet more money jsut to get some map details for walking.
I have not been able to get any maps apart from some free ones from a website onto the Garmin device.
I really need some help here as this is the first walking sat nav i have ever owned.
Which maps are best for walking in the UK, i live in Basingstoke and would like to do some walking around here and around the new forest.
Is it possible to import your maps from memory map into the Garmin device?
Thanks in advance
Mithandra
