Discrepancy in the display of the VO2max status

The highlighted range does not match the VO2max value.

  • Isn't that just because the "spinner" doesn't show fractional values? Likely it's just rounding up to 49 from something like 48.6.

  • Yes, Garmin has this tendency of randomly using either rounded or non-rounded numbers for their graphical displays. For example, on my Forerunner 965 the training load ratio display shows the ratio number with one decimal place and the spinner uses that value (so it moves in 0.1 increments). But on the same watch the VO2max number is shown as an integer, the but spinner uses the exact fractional value (just like in the screenshot above).

    Go figure... shrug.

  • But on the same watch the VO2max number is shown as an integer, the but spinner uses the exact fractional value (just like in the screenshot above).

This is like how the 4-week VO2 Max graph in the watch's Training Status glance plots unrounded decimal points (as opposed to rounded integer points), but the displayed current VO2 Max number is rounded to an integer. But at least this allows you to visualize granular changes over short periods of time.

But everywhere else (Connect website and Connect app), the VO2 Max graph plots rounded integer points, so small changes can't be seen at all.
