Edit distance in Garmin Connect

I searched for this and found a thread in "Troubleshooting", and felt it needed to be here too.

The ability to edit distance would also be great for mountain bike riding. My Edge 305 always is around 10% low on distance when riding trails. It is dead on on the road. The link below is a recent ride that my Edge measured at 16.67 miles, but my Cateye (calibrated to the Edge on the road) measured 18.57. This happens on every ride, regardless of the recording option selected (smart recording or every second recording).

Just realize that your cateye measures too long distance, since it
will follow every little hole your wheels travel. The truth is somewhere
    in between.

And bear in mind that on trails signals may be lost due to cover leading to interpolation errors when acquired. Distance may also not be accurate if turns are tight.

Yeah, that's why I would like to be able to edit the distance in Garmin Connect!

Maybe, but the truth is definitely closer to the Cateye distance. 10% error is huge if you ride 3000 miles per year. Roadies wouldn't stand for it, why should mountain bikers? All I would like is the option to edit the distance if I know my Edge measured it wrong........

    Another vote to edit distance

Using the FR60 foot pod for trail running is very inaccurate. And why would you want to limit people's ability to use your product anyway?
