Battery died mid-race and data appears as invalid.

I ran an ultramarathon and at the 85km point my watch battery died. Since recharging the activity is showing as Invalid. I tried manually uploading the data from the watch on my PC into garmin connect and it said my data couldn't be uploaded and wasn't supported. Is there a way to recover the data?

Try FIT File Viewer, which runs in the browser and is able to fix files in a lot of cases. Developed by forum member HarryOnline. If it still won't work for you zip then attach the fit file to this thread. We can take a look to see if it is repairable.

Zip the file, then in a reply post Insert >> Image/video/file >> click Upload >> browse for file >> OK.
Or upload the fit file to a reputable file sharing service, such as OneDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox, make the file public, then paste a link to the file in your post.
