Acitivity details not available during the Strava Outage

I see the list of all my running done in the last 2 months, but every time I choose one to see the details, the page fails to load. 

I inspected the page in the browser and saw that it waits for a Strava load and fails when Strava returns 503.

I believe that the users who connected Strava with their account can not see any activity details because of the Strava outage, which is shameful.

  • Do you have Strava Segments enabled in Garmin Connect? If so, try going to https://connect.garmin.com/modern/segments, and enabling Garmin segments instead. 

  • This is an interesting idea (thank you!) but I think the problem is already resolved on strava's end. Also, I find that the partner-service request is made regardless of whether Garmin or Strava segments is selected. (Not sure if a failure in the partner-service request would also cause the activity not to finish loading if Garmin segments is active, but I assume this is the case).

    It's too bad that Garmin seemingly just assumes that that the request succeeds with no fallback strategy for failure, even though it's literally their own endpoint.

    Then I guess everyone with a Strava account linked to GC would have experienced the problem too. It was not my case.
