Compare activities not working

This is the same behavior as when it was reported 3 years ago, and 7 years ago, and 10 years ago. It's the same issue reported here: https://forums.garmin.com/apps-software/mobile-apps-web/f/garmin-connect-web/275352/compare-activities-intermittently-not-working-anyone-else-having-this-problem

Select 2 activities, click "Compare", get a brief throbber then white page. I've tried this in Firefox, Chrome, and Edge, have cleared cache in all of them.

  • The issue is that it works intermittently, around 50% of the time. It has been a longstanding issue that Garmin has failed to address. So while it worked for you today and perhaps you have never had it fail, you are likely to at some point. 

  • It always worked all right for me too. You could open DevTools of the browser (F12 or Ctrl-Shift-i in most browsers), go to the Console tab, clear it, then attempt the Compare again, and if you get any errors in the console, please post it here.

    You can also try opening Garmin Connect in Incognito / InPrivate mode of the browser, and test it so. And also using an alternative Internet access can often help with similar problems (some resources may be blocked by CloudFlare).
