Sync issues

Hello!

I went for a ride yesterday with my edge 1040, finished it, but it wouldn't sync it to garmin connect. I tried rebooting the device several times and syncing over wifi (which said sync failed), besides the usual syncing with phone.

Nothing helped.

So I found the Garmin Status page: https://connect.garmin.com/status/ Which said Activity Uploads - Limited (instead of Online) at the time.

So I expected it will resolve itself after some time. The status was changed to "Online" the same evening, but still not syncing.

Today I tried again to sync, but still nothing.

My device was running 26.18, so I checked maybe there's a new software version and upgraded to 27.07.

After this one the Wi-Fi sync seemingly works - it says, 1. Transfer in progress 2. Sync complete.

But still the activity is not showing up on Garmin Connect, while it's there on the Edge.

So I tried creating a new activity and it synced instantly. And eventually did the manual sync of the not syncing activity, which also worked.

BUT it's a super disappointing solution, since now this activity does not count towards many Garmin Connect metrics - training load, load focus, training readiness, training status etcetc.

My theory is that while something was wrong with the Garmin Connect Activity Uploads (limited functionality), my activity somehow got tagged as synced on Garmin Connects database or my own Edge device and now it's never gonna get synced unless this bit gets switched to "not synced".

Any ideas?
