When I use the trip log it will work for a bit then it starts to just leave a straight line. When I try to clear the trip log most times I can not. I have to hold the off button for a good 10 seconds to get it to clear. When the trip log is not working the ecoRoute is way off also. Just wondering if anyone else is having this problem or if anyone knows how I can fix this. I tryed to get the place where I bought it to help but not much luck there. Last time I buy from them.
I have the Nuvi1490t and I purchased a 8gb micro SDHC storage card. Nothing on this card shows up on my unit. Is the storage too large for this unit? I only view and add information from my computer. Also, I 'm having problems with the City Navigator Denver download. It on my GPS but doesn't show up on the unit. I can't find any upgrades for this unit at this time.

You must be putting a lot of stuff in your 1490t if you need a 8gb storage card. Is the trip log and ecoRoute working OK on your 1490t ??
I was hoping that maybe a Garmin Rep might be reading the forums and have some answers for our problems.
I wanted to get the most out of this unit and not upgrade the memory later. My problem was all data I put on the storage card was not available on my unit; What good is a storage card if you can't access the data. I had all the vehicles stored on my storage card but when I selected change vehicles they were missing. I got a message saying I was out of memory. Other problems include a "Most Detail Selection" that looks the same as the least. My old Nuvi 760 had more detail, it would name cities and lakes as I approached them. I downloaded a city map for Denver and it's stored on my GPS but does not show up on my unit. No updates for this unit and it's impossible to contact Garmin on their support web site.

Got my problems all fixed up and very happy with them.
Have we determined for certain that SDHC is not compatible with the 1490T?
I've contacted Garmin Support for the same issue, no help at all. I've updated my software to 4.2, which fixed the Micro SDHC card issue according to the support. I've tried 3 different brands, and none of them are working, here are the MicroSDHC I've tried:
I am having a problem with my 1490T Nuvi. I cannot get it to turn on. It is merely flashing the Garmin name at me and turning on and off. I've used it very successfully for 6 months and have kept the software updated. I cannot get it to turn on for more than 3 seconds.
Did you ever get a response on your questio concerning the 1490T. This is my second one with the same identical problem. Last one I returned. Any Luck ? Thanks
